FRONTLINE:

A space where your story matters.

FRONTLINE is a free, year-long program where AANHPI youth come together to explore mental health, share stories through art and film, and support each other in community.

You don’t need any experience—just curiosity and your own voice.

Why We’re Here:

  • Challenge the Stigma

around mental health. We all will move through hard times. That doesn’t mean we’re broken. We heal in community. Let’s get to work.

Real Voices from Youth

“Mental Health is not talked about—especially in Asian households, stigmatized.”

“I wish I would’ve known how easy it actually is to get help with these things and how accessible it can be.”

Youth participate in an outdoor group activity, with some blindfolded and others guiding them under a sunny sky between campus buildings.

“I want to be honest and vulnerable.”

This isn’t school. It’s a creative, exploratory space where you can learn, make art, and lead—at your own pace, with no pressure to be perfect.

Is This For you?

Your Year in FRONTLINE

You’ll take part in five workshops from September to June that guide you through healing, identity, and community care.

Learn & Commit

  • Start by learning what mental health really means — and why it’s more than just personal struggles. We look at mental health through culture, community, and care.

  • Explore how family history and culture shape how we feel, act, and heal. You’ll reflect on the past and reclaim what healing looks like for your future.

  • Learn skills to build healthier, more supportive relationships — with friends, family, and yourself. We practice communication and setting boundaries.

  • Healing doesn’t happen alone. In this workshop, we imagine and co-create new ways to care for ourselves and each other — with community at the heart.

  • Wrap up the year by sharing your story, your growth, and your art. We honor each other and celebrate what we’ve built together.

  • All five workshops are required, but there’s no pressure to be perfect. Showing up for yourself and your community is what matters — and we’ll support you all the way.

You’ll create an art or film project that reflects your story and what you’ve learned — and submit it to our statewide scholarship competition.

Make Art. Share Truth.

  • From zines to short films, your creative work is a way to share your truth and inspire others. You don’t need to be an artist — just willing to express what matters to you.

  • Your final project enters you into a statewide scholarship competition. We uplift youth stories that show growth, healing, and bold imagination — yours could help fund your future.
